Many Waikiki holday makers have decided to stay and enjoy the so called “chic”, Parc Hotel Waikiki. Located close to the beach, but not on the beach front, the Waikiki Parc will give you closeness to the beach and its activities, while at the same time giving you access to all the Waikiki shopping of your dreams. That sounds like a good balance, doesn’t it.

The Parc Hotel Waikiki, is situated at 2233 Helumoa Road. Here it is as shown in the photo. It has 297 rooms of different sorts. There are Parc rooms, Deluxe Mountain rooms, Ocean View and Ocean View Prime rooms, with the Deluxe Ocean room being the most expensive. These rooms range per night from $285 to $415.

The Parc Waikiki has amenities that you can use and enjoy on its eighth floor. Here you’ll find the swimming pool, the fitness room and the coin laundry.

What about the most important part of the day to many. Yes, breakfast, lunch and dinner. What is available? Well, for breakfast, at the on-site Nobu Restaurant, there is what is called – Parc AM. This is a buffet breakfast, for you to feast on, to give you a good start to the day. For lunch and dinner, because of the Park Hotel Waikiki’s location, you will be able to partake of the many food outlets in the city, if that’s where you are at the time, or if near the beach, you are allowed to go to the Parc’s sister resort, the “Halekulani”, and obtain your goodies there. At night, if you like, you can try the Nobu Restaurant at the Parc, or call for room service if you like. The choice is always yours.

Some hints as to which rooms to book, are as follows – Like all other Waikiki hotels, the higher you go the less noise you will hear. One guest had a City View room on the 21st floor, and had no noise to speak of at all. Of course, expect to pay more for the privilege. Another guest said that, because they were on a higher floor, they were able to turn off the air conditioning at times and enjoy the beautiful breezes. If you want a bigger balcony than the normal choose the ocean side of the building.

As far as activities go, if you are interested in surfing, the Parc Hotel Waikiki has a good Beach Package, where you can learn to surf and be taught by a retired pro surfer. Just go and see the hotel concierge, who will be only to pleased to arrange that for you. He or she can also arrange just about any activity you wish, like places to hike and go sight seeing, and other excursions.

As with all hotels, you will never get a perfect one. Things go wrong sometimes even at the best hotels. The Parc Hotel Waikiki is no different.

Based on the information found at Trip Advisor, out of the written reviews from actual people who have sampled this hotel, the results are as follows –

’90% give a great rap to the Parc, whereas 10%, for one reason or another, would rather have been somewhere else’.

When you get totally two opposite stories about the noise factor for instance, it’s hard to know what to do. For instance, one guest said -

“that at the Waikiki Parc Hotel they had found “peace in the heart of Waikiki”, whereas, another said, “if you sleep like the dead you’ll be fine”.

The best course as usual, is to follow your good instincts and do your homework, research as much as you can, and you can be one of the 90% who thoroughly enjoy their Waikiki jaunt at the Parc Hotel Waikiki.
